Sunday
Today we had breakfast at the clow's home. They are new Honduras Team missionaries that have been here for only about 3 weeks. Following breakfast, we had a training session on child abuse. It was well done and perhaps something that we all can benefit from. The it was a tour of La Ceiba and back to the Pettengills home and a briefing of our week. It is going to be a busy one, yet we were encouraged to be more concerned about the "relationships" than the work. We are learning!
Tonight we had "gringo church - and then dinner at the Pettengills home. Following that we will attend Spanish Church in Armenia Bonito community. Then on to bed so we can be ready to go to workat 7:30 in the morning. In the morning we will be doing some construction on a ladies home and in the afternoon we will be teaching English! That should be interesting.
It is quite warm here, but with fans - quite comfortable.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers,
Your Honduras Team

Saturday
The Trip today went well. It was quite long, with an 8 hour lay over in a quite hot airport in San Pedro Sula. At one point we thought we might be able to get a different flight, but that was not to be. So, we sat around and visited and learned more about each other and worked on our devotional and ate! It isn't often that you have the privilege of eating at Wendy's twice in one day.... but that was the only choice!
We arrived in La Cebia about 9:30pm and were greeted by Mike and Shawn McCann at the airport. On to Mike's house where we were greeted by a HUGE Rottwieller. After all the greetings it was off to bed. Most of us had been up since 3:45 in the am. And we were tired. The ladies bedroom is a large room with 5 sets of bunk beds. There are 5 sets of bunks in the mens room as well, but their "room" is at the head of the stairs and it is also the hallway to the ladies room. Cozy ... but it works.

Prayer Requests
Here are a few ways you can pray for us as we minister with the Pettengills this week:
-That we would have safety and no complications in our travels.
-That we would be "devoted to one another in brotherly love and honor one another above ourselves.
-That we would glorify the Lord in all we say and do.
-That we would be a blessing to the pettengills and that Jesus would be made known to the people of Armenia Bonito.
-For the physical endurance in the heat and humidity.
-For the unity of the Team.
We will return on Saturday, June 5, 9:17 pm.
