Thursday

Thursday....Heat Index 102.2 Humidity 83% - We keep saying it is hot and it is! But we are tough, in spite of the heat we are on our way to finishing the concrete block work on Argentina's house. We have laid over 300 blocks at present. A few more to go tomorrow and we will declare our work here done! Some of our team spent the morning seating and digging a three foot deep ditch, 18 inches wide. They did about 60 or 70 feet of this project. This will be the foundation for the sports complex that Team Honduras is building. We were delighted to be a part of this effort, but it was not an easy task. We have come to realize that heat here is much greater than in SC and very hard to prepare for. But as a whole, we have handled it well.

This afternoon, we helped with the Medical Clinic Erin runs every week. Saw about 45 patients. Also this afternoon, Jonathan presented a seminar to the local leaders/pastors on Scriptural Growth and Maturity. We were quite pleased that 26 people attended this event.

A little more swimming in the river was done by some and then it was out to dinner at a local restaurant, home for showers and relaxation and now we are facing our last day here. The time has gone by swiftly and i believe that most of us will be sorry to see the time end. It has been good! See you soon.
