PHEW! It was a HOT day! We did construction this morning and finished two walls, one outside and one inside, and mad LOTS of mortar. First we shoveled/threw sand through a screen to get the rocks out and make it finer, then added cement to it and mixed that up, while adding water as needed until we had the perfect consistency of mortar! Then the mortar was hauled in buckets to the block layers (Tricia is mastering the art!). We also learned how to "sling" block to each other. We all loved being in the prayer chair under the shady tree where it was nice and cool! This afternoon we did a kids club. Sarah McD did a super job sharing a story about Jesus and the Gospel as Anita translated. The kids listened very well! It was fun, wild, and entertaining. These kids love all of the attention and we love giving it to them! After kids club, we had the privilege of enjoying some Honduran cuisine at a local restaurant. All in all, it was a great day and we are looking forward to tomorrow!
