Wednesday
If we thought yesterday was hot, today was MUCHO CALOR (that means VERY HOT!!!) In spite of the heat, we made good process on the block walls of Argentina's house. We're getting pretty proficient at making mortar and slinging block and drinking lots of water. We had a special treat for lunch. We were invited to Teresa's house for a home cooked meal...really home cooked in her outdoor kitchen. We had the privilege of helping her make tortillas, however, hers were round and ours were of various shapes and sizes. Teresa and a jovial time watching the gringas. She used the tortillas to make baleadas for us. THEN it was off to the river! Check the pictures of all the kids in the truck. That was only one load! The water was delightfully cool and we had a great time. Charlie and Jonathan had to keep up with Sarah and Sarah by jumping off the rocks into the river. Dinner and counting pills for tomorrow's medical clinic took up the evening and a game of rummy is now in progress at 8:20, though some of us are headed to bed. Goodnight!
